I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! returned for it's ninth series on 15 November 2009 on ITV. Ant & Dec returned to host the main series.
The full celebrity line-up was revealed on 11 November 2009. On day four Camilla Dallerup withdrew on medical grounds due to exhaustion. On 30 November (Day 17), George Hamilton also withdrew from the competition because of personal reasons.
This was the first series to feature a contestant from a previous series, Katie Price made her second appearance on the show, having first appeared the third series in 2004. She withdrew from the competition on day 9 because she was fed up of the jungle and doing 6 bushtucker trials in a row.
On the 4 December 2009, the series was won by chef Gino D'Acampo, with How Clean Is Your House? presenter Kim Woodburn as the runner up and snooker player Jimmy White in third place. It was the first British series for the winner to be born outside the United Kingdom.
